The Sustainable Technology program welcomes Dr. Bahy S.A. Abdel-Mesih as its newest lecturer. Dr. Abdel-Mesih holds a master’s degree in Physics from Carol von Ossietzky Universitat in Oldenburg Germany with a thesis focused on utilization of solar energy in remote areas. He completed his PhD in Environment and Soil Sciences from University of Lleida in Lleida Spain with a focus on photovoltaic thermal concentrator optimized for solar cooling and heating applications. His teaching and research interests in Sustainable Technology include: photovoltaic stand-alone systems; photovoltaic-thermal systems (hybrid and concentrated); solar thermal; computer modeling of renewable energy systems; wind energy modeling; seawater desalination using renewable energy technologies.
