Outside of our department Resume Clinics that occur once a semester, you have access to the following resources via the Career Development Center:
1. The Resume and Cover Letter page on the Career Development Center site has a number of tips and resources regarding resumes, cover letters, and portfolios. If you scroll to the bottom of this page, there are more links to the Career Studio and to schedule a free appointment with a Career Coach for these services.
2. The Career Studio is a drop-in, no appointment necessary peer-to-peer career advising/resume reviews done by high achieving students trained by the Career Development Center. This occurs from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm every Monday-Thursday in the Career Development Center Lounge (Plemmons Student Union, Room 222).
3. If you can't make it to any of those sessions, you can also get a resume or cover letter review by a career guide via email by contacting careerguide@appstate.edu and giving them access to edit the document. They will respond to you with edits within 5 business days.
4. If you are looking for more in-depth career guidance by a Career Coach, you can make an appointment with a Career Coach on Handshake. They can help with customizing/tailoring your resume or cover letter, mock or practice interviews, career or major exploration, job and internship searching, applying for graduate school, and more.
5. Please visit https://careers.appstate.edu/ for more information and resources from the Career Development Center on employment, internships, and resume building.
