As we are approaching the new academic year, we'd like to take some time to reflect on all of the student achievements, department events, competition victories, and faculty mentorships that have shaped the STBE Department's 2025-2026 academic year.
The Summer 2026 Newsletter spotlights these achievements, and we are excited to share it with our colleagues, students, and industry partners. A special thanks to those on our Industry Advisory Council (IAC), who work to advance the mission of our department, provide opportunities for our students and faculty, and bring invaluable planning, ideas, and funding to the department of Sustainable Technology & the Built Environment. Below is a note from the STBE Department Chair, Dr. Ok-Youn Yu, which is also featured in the attached Newsletter.
As another successful year comes to a close and we look ahead to the fall semester, I sincerely thank everyone who contributes to the success of our department. The accomplishments in this newsletter reflect the dedication of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and industry partners. I am especially grateful for the strong support of our STBE community. Through mentoring, collaboration, experiential learning, and engagement, you help advance our mission and enrich the educational experience. As we begin a new academic year, I am confident we will continue building on our momentum.
