During the Spring break, Dr. Reza Foroughi (the SBA/ABC student club advisor) and Victor Lorenzo (an SBA/ABC club member) participated in the Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC) convention in Kissimmee, FL. One of the primary missions of this trip was to observe the Construction Management Competition (CMC) between Construction Management (CM) majors from 21 Universities.
The Association of Builders and Contractors explains that this competition, "is designed to challenge construction knowledge, organization, time management, and presentation skills." Additionally, the competition is a good way to give construction management students a glance into the world of construction, as well as the opportunity to display their talents in a nationally recognized event. The SBA club and Construction Management program hopes to get more involved in this competition in the future, as it is a good way for our students to experience real life scenarios in the workforce.
ABC/CMC Spring Break Trip
