Congratulations to the Design Build Team who won 2nd place in the Associated Schools of Construction Region 2 Student Competition held November 19, 2024. The Building Science program sent 2 teams to compete in the Concrete and Design Build categories. The Design Build team competed against the University of Florida, Auburn University, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State University, and Mississippi State University. Our Design Build Team members are Jacob Denton, Serenity Dobson, Mycroft Cansler, Abe Bachman, and Georgia Roney.
A record 276 Students from Associated Schools of Construction Region 2 Student Competition competed in this year's competition from 19 Universities. The students compete in one of 5 categories, Design Build, Concrete, Heavy Civil, Preconstruction, and Commercial.
The Concrete Team represented the University and Building Science program well but unfortunately didn’t place with the stiff competition. University of Florida placed 1st, followed by University of Puerto Rico 2nd, and Middle Tennessee State 3rd. Concrete team members are Jahir Joachin-Salomon, Drew Logan, Ivy Elledge, Grayson Chatt, and Paige Donnelly.
