The Building Science program welcomes Dr. Reza Foroughi as its newest assistant professor this fall. Dr. Foroughi holds a master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Guilan (Iran) and a PhD in Architectural Engineering – Construction from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Foroughi has taught at several universities and worked in the construction industry for more than fifteen years. In 2013, Dr. Foroughi obtained a LEED Green Associate credential. His teaching and research interests in Building Sciences include Innovative & Sustainable Construction, Interactive Building Systems, Simulation-Based Energy Optimization, Smart Building Envelopes, and Biomimicry in Architectural Engineering. Currently, Dr. Foroughi is focusing on interdisciplinary studies in building design and construction.
